Hall of residence. 1911. By GW Atkinson. Red brick, ashlar details, slate hipped roof. 3 storeys, 5 unequal bays of 3,5,1,5,3 windows. In Classical 'Wrennaissance' style, one of the 7 halls grouped to the S of the main building, James Graham Hall (qv). Central and outer bays break forward and have brick rustication and pilasters. Central 2-panel double doors with geometric-pattern overlight in rusticated architrave with Ionic columns supporting entablature and cornice which is continued as a 1st-floor band. Small-pane windows throughout, in a round-arched recess to upper floors. Original rainwater goods, modillion cornice, pedimented end and centre, banded brick ridge stacks. INTERIOR: not inspected.
