Description
Numbers 1 (The Coffee House and Calverley Fine Arts Limited) and 2 (The Old Bakery) are a pair of cottages, now functioning as two shops with an art gallery above. They date from the late 18th century or early 19th century and are built from hammer-dressed sandstone with a stone slate roof. The buildings are two storeys high and consist of two single cells. They feature central paired doorways with tie-stone jambs that share a common central jamb. On either side and above the doorways are two-light flat-faced mullioned windows, which have oversailing lintels and sills, fitted with 4-pane sashes or fixed lights. There are no stacks present. This structure is part of a fold development.
