Description
14 and 16 Slades Lane is a house with an adjoining small cottage, dated 1753, with the cottage, No. 16, from the 19th century. The building is constructed of hammer-dressed stone, with quoins on No. 14. The roof of No. 14 is made of stone slate, while No. 16 has a bitumen-covered roof. The structure has two storeys.
To the right, there is a door with chamfered reveals and a deep lintel inscribed with "R W M 1753". To the left of the door, there is a four-light window, although two of the mullions have been removed. On the first floor, there is a five-light window. The cottage to the left features an entrance on the right and has a three-light window on both floors. The windows are designed in the style of the late 18th century or early 19th century.
