Description

Lower Edge Farmhouse and the attached barn date from the late 18th century or early 19th century, while the barn itself was built in the mid to late 19th century. The buildings are constructed from hammer-dressed stone with quoins on the farmhouse and feature a stone slate roof. The farmhouse is two storeys high and has one three-light window and one two-light window on the ground floor, along with one three-light window and one four-light window on the first floor. The adjoining barn to the left has a large central cart entrance with an elliptical arch and a later small light above it. There are round pitch holes at high level on both the left and right sides, and a mistal door is located to the left. The barn is included for its group value with the farmhouse.
