Description
Hart's Hole New Ing Farm and the adjoining barn are early to mid 19th century structures located in Bolster Moor. This terrace of farm cottages and barn is built from hammer-dressed stone and features a pitched stone slate roof, with one coped gable and stone brackets. The buildings are two storeys high.
On the southeast elevation, No 7 has a ground floor with an entrance in a modern porch, a five-light stone mullioned window (with some mullions removed), and a three-light stone mullioned window. The first floor features a fourteen-light stone mullioned window (with alternative mullions removed). No 9 also has a ground floor with an entrance in a modern porch, a five-light stone mullioned window, and a three-light stone mullioned window. Its first floor has a fourteen-light stone mullioned window.
The southwest gable includes a two-light stone mullioned window on the first floor. On the northwest elevation, the ground floor of each dwelling has various lights in a light well, while the first floor has an entrance to each dwelling (partially blocked) and a four-light stone mullioned window. To the east is the barn, which has a pitched stone slate roof and a coped gable. The southwest and northeast elevations of the barn feature a large central doorway with a stone surround, tie-stones, and a segmental arched head, although this doorway is blocked.
