This is a kissing gate at the junction with footpath number 44 on Calmlands Road in Meltham. It was likely built in the early to mid 19th century. The structure consists of two upright stone slabs and one post, supporting a wooden gate that is mounted on iron hinges. The gate is set on stone paving.
