Description
Nos. 68, 70, and 72 on Huddersfield Road are likely remnants of a single house, now divided into three separate residences. They date from the 17th century or early 18th century and were altered in the mid to late 19th century. The buildings are constructed of coursed rubble with quoins and feature a stone slate roof, which has hollow chamfered gable copings resting on moulded kneelers. There are two ashlar stacks, one of which is rendered.
The properties are two storeys high. The doorway to No. 72 has a moulded surround and an arched lintel, while Nos. 70 and 68 have 19th-century doorways. Nos. 68 and 72 each feature a 4-light double chamfered window, although only the king mullion remains. No. 70 has late 19th-century windows. The rear of the buildings includes various double chamfered windows, including two 4-light windows, with some mullions removed and some blind lights. There are also several 19th-century openings. No. 72 has a recent porch, No. 70 includes a French window, and No. 68 has a small extension.
