Description

These are a pair of early to mid-19th century houses, forming part of a larger group within Staincliffe Mill Yard. They are constructed of hammer-dressed stone with quoins, and have a pitched slate roof with three ashlar stacks and moulded stone brackets. The east elevation features a central doorway with a small fanlight, and a three-light stone mullioned window on each floor to either side. A small single-light window sits above the doorway. The west elevation presents a terraced facade; each house has an entrance to the left and a single three-light window on each floor to the right.
