Description

This is a pair of early to mid-19th century houses, located on East Street and connected to 17 Chapel Bank. They are constructed of hammer-dressed stone with a stone slate roof, and feature two ashlar chimney stacks, one of which has been altered. The houses are four storeys high, with a two-storey section to the rear. Each house has an entrance and a two-light window on the ground floor. The first floor has a three-light window (partly altered), the second floor has a single light, and the third floor has a two-light window.

The rear elevation of 17 Chapel Bank features two central doorways, one of which has been blocked, with a two-light window on either side; the window to the left is partially obscured by a small extension. On the first floor is a former nine-light stone mullioned window, now with four blocked lights, resulting in one two-light and one three-light window.
