Description

These are two mid-18th century houses, part of a group, with alterations made in the mid-19th century. The houses are constructed of hammer-dressed stone, with quoins. They have a stone slate roof with gable copings on moulded kneelers. There are two stone chimney stacks, one with a moulded cap and the other significantly altered. The houses are two storeys high. In the centre of the building are two 19th-century doorways. To the left and right of the doorways are 2-light double chamfered windows where the mullions have been removed. Each dwelling has a 5-light window to the first floor, with the window to the left having two blocked lights. The rear elevation features a central stone porch which is now disused, a 5-light and a 4-light double chamfered window (with several mullions removed), and two 4-light double chamfered windows to the first floor (also with mullions removed).
