Description
The New Church (Swedenborgian) is a mid-19th century building located on Long Lane. It is constructed of ashlar and features a pitched slate roof. The gable end faces the street and has moulded coping, with angle pilasters at the corners. The façade includes two oblong windows flanking two round-arched windows, all of which have moulded surrounds. There is a one-storey enclosed porch supported by four Tuscan pilasters, topped with a full entablature and a blocking course. At the center of the porch is a pediment-shaped die inscribed with the phrase "All religion has relation to life, and the life of religion is to do good. Swedenborg." The entrance features double doors with two fielded panels and is flanked by two oblong windows with moulded surrounds.
