Description

The Former Lockwood Baths, located on Bath Street, is a mid-19th century building designed to complement the nearby Spa Hotel on Lockwood Road. Constructed from ashlar stone, it features a pitched slate roof and is a single storey in height. The building has a central gable with a coping and moulded eaves cornice along the sides, which also have a blocking course. The ends of the structure project slightly forward and each is adorned with two Tuscan pilasters. At the center, there is a tetrastyle Tuscan porch, although one column is missing, topped with a pediment. The entrance door consists of six moulded panels and is complemented by a semi-circular fanlight above.
