Description

This is an early 19th-century building on Carr Lane in Slaithwaite. It is constructed of hammer-dressed stone with a pitched stone slate roof, now covered in bitumen, and has coped gables. An internal gable stack is located to the north-east.

The south-east elevation features a six-light stone mullioned window on the ground floor, alongside a partly blocked doorway to its left. The first floor has an eight-light stone mullioned window. The south-west gable has a single light window to the first floor, while the north-east gable features a lean-to extension.

Inside the building, a plaque bears the inscription “Joseph & Salley Broadley 1816”.
