Description

The property comprises three dwellings at the end of a terrace, built around 1850. It is constructed of hammer-dressed stone with ashlar dressings and quoins, and features a pitched slate roof with gable copings to the west, set onto built-up moulded footstones. There are two large central stacks with moulded caps. The building is two storeys high, with a basement and attic.

The north elevation has a gabled central wing that projects forward. To the right of this wing is the entrance to No. 24, featuring a Tudor arch, chamfered reveals, and a hood mould. To the left of the entrance is a four-light chamfered mullioned window, deeply recessed and with a hood mould; the window lights have rounded heads. The first floor has two single chamfered lights. Nos. 20 and 24 flank the central wing and are mirror images of each other. Each of these dwellings consists of two bays, with the outer bay set back and containing a doorway with quoins, a Tudor arch, and chamfered reveals, topped by a small single light. The inner bay has a three-light chamfered stone mullioned window with rounded heads to the ground floor lights. The mullions have been removed from No. 24, and replaced with modern casements on both floors.

The south elevation has two bays per dwelling, with a two-light basement window and a two-light ground floor window. A gabled dormer with a two-light window features at roof level on each dwelling. All openings are chamfered. A single-storey lean-to extension, of the same date, adjoins the west side.
