Lower Woodhouse Farmhouse and the barn to the south date from the early to mid 19th century. The building is constructed from hammer-dressed stone and features a stone slate roof with gable copings supported by carved kneelers. It is two storeys high, with a near central doorway. To the left of the doorway is a 4-light window, although the outer mullions have been removed. To the right, there is a 3-light window with one light blocked and one mullion removed. On the first floor, there is one 6-light window and one 3-light window. The barn, positioned at a right angle to the farmhouse, has segmental arched entrances on both elevations, with the rear entrance partially blocked.
