Description

Golcar Brook Bridge, built between 1794 and 1798, is a narrow single span arched bridge on the Huddersfield Narrow Canal, likely designed by engineer Benjamin Outram. The bridge is constructed from hammer dressed stone and features a pronounced string course at the base of the parapet, which has rounded copings. The top of the bridge is setted, and there is a towpath on one side. The north side has been reinforced with concrete.
