Description

The building is a massive woollen mill, constructed circa 1911. It is built of hammer-dressed stone with a triple-hipped slate roof. The mill is six storeys high and comprises 26 bays by 6 bays, featuring industrial casement windows. Corner bays break forward slightly and are topped with a parapet, incorporating paned round arched windows. Other casements have shallow segmental heads. A section of seven bays on the north-west elevation also breaks forward and is surmounted by an ashlar parapet with dies. A square stair tower is located on the south-east side, rising above the eaves and featuring triple round arched windows, topped with a bracketed cornice and parapet.
