Description

The Barn at the Wood, located on Grimescar Road, is a mid-19th century structure built of ashlar stone with a pitched stone slate roof and coped gables. It stands two storeys tall, with the central section of the east front protruding slightly and topped by a pediment that features a Venetian window, although the central light is blocked. Below this, there is a depressed arch. On the west side, there is an arched entrance with a blocked surround.
