Description

The Wood is a mid-19th century building located on Grimescar Road in Fixby. It is constructed of ashlar stone and features a pitched stone slate roof. The building stands two storeys high and has a moulded eaves cornice and a parapet. There is a band running along the façade, which includes three ranges of sash windows with glazing bars. The entrance door is framed with moulded ashlar and has an oblong fanlight above it, topped with a segmental pediment. At the rear, there is a staircase window that also has glazing bars.
