Description

The Pinfold at Crab Tree Well is an 18th or 19th century enclosure located on School Hill in South Crosland. It is roughly oblong in shape and constructed from dry stone walling. The enclosure features an arched entrance with monolithic jambs and a lintel. It was historically used to impound strayed animals.
