Description

This is an 18th-century farmhouse located on School Hill in South Crosland. The building is constructed of hammer-dressed stone, with a pitched stone slate roof and coped gables featuring moulded kneelers. It is two storeys high. The first floor has three stone mullioned windows: one with two lights, one with three, and one with six. The ground floor also has three stone mullioned windows, one with two lights, one with four, and one with three. A former entrance to the first floor was located at the west end, and is now blocked, with the accompanying external staircase removed. A later extension to the north-east is built in a matching style, with two sash windows on the first floor (one with an intermediate blocked light) and a single two-light sash window on the ground floor.
