Description
Green Fold Farmhouse, including the barn, is a 18th-century longhouse type farm located in South Crosland. It is constructed from hammer-dressed stone and features a pitched stone slate roof. The east gable end is coped and has a moulded kneeler. The building has two storeys with four windows on the first floor, all of which are blocked. On the ground floor, there is one five-light and one four-light stone mullioned window, with the mullions recessed within the frame and each window having two blocked lights. Additionally, there are two blocked doors and one planked door that is recessed within the thickness of the wall. The barn has one trabeated door, which is obscured by a modern porch, and one blocked door at the east end. The east gable end also features pigeon holes and ledges. A datestone over the barn porch is inscribed with "[?] I H 1776".
