Description
This large brick warehouse, located in the goods yard off New North Parade, dates from the late 19th century, specifically between 1878 and 1883, coinciding with the enlargement of Huddersfield Station. The building is constructed of red brick, featuring blue brick strings and dressings, as well as a yellow brick eaves cornice with paired brackets. It has five storeys facing the railway and three storeys on the yard side. The yard side includes two sets of loading doors and two sets of industrial windows. The canted side has seven sets of industrial windows. The west side features eighteen sets of industrial windows and four sets of loading doors, while the east side has twenty-two sets of industrial windows and four sets of loading doors. A loading bay, which is two ranges wide, extends over the railway tracks supported by giant iron columns.
