Description

Portland House is a mid-19th century building located on New Hey Road. It is constructed of ashlar stone and features a hipped stone slate roof. The house has two storeys and is adorned with a moulded eaves cornice and a blocking course. The front facade includes three ranges of sash windows, with the central range slightly projecting forward and topped by a pediment-shaped blocking course that has a sculpted wreath. The entrance is set within a modern porch, which includes a full entablature and a blocking course also featuring a sculpted wreath.
