Description

The barn at Deanroyd Farmhouse dates from the late 17th century and is constructed of watershot masonry with a stone slate roof. It features quoins and has a doorway to the mistal with a simple chamfered surround. There is a semi-circular cart entry with composite jambs, which includes a portal with a doorway that has a chamfered lintel in the return wall, inscribed with 'IAG 1675'. The rear of the barn has a similar arrangement, and the return walls have a circular owl-hole at the apex.
