Description
Waterstalls is a house with an attached barn, dating from the mid-18th century. It is constructed of squared rubble and features a stone slate roof. The house consists of two main cells, with a barn added to the left and a possible loom shop to the right. The barn includes a doorway leading to the mistal, which has a large lintel and a semi-circular arched cart entry.
The house has a doorway with monolithic jambs, which is a 19th-century addition. There is a wide two-light chamfered window with a king mullion, above which is a smaller two-light window that lacks a mullion. The doorway has remnants of a porch. Next to this is another doorway that has been altered, along with a three-light chamfered window that is missing one mullion, and above it is a two-light window.
An early 19th-century added cell features a wide doorway with a sill tie and a two-light flat-faced mullioned window, while the first floor has a single light. The return wall includes a first-floor door but lacks a roof. There is also an outshut at the rear of the house.
