Description
Harrison House Branch Library is an early 19th-century, two-storey stone building located on Harrison Road. It features a corner design with a row of giant, simplified Doric pilasters supporting a deep frieze in the entablature. The front has five windows, each with moulded architraves, and a simple entrance. The south side has three bays. This library is part of an interesting group of early to mid-19th-century buildings that includes Nos 1 to 7 (odd), Nos 11 and 11a Carlton Congregational Church, and Nos 13 and 15, as well as Nos 2 to 8 (even).
