Description
Nos 11 and 11A on Harrison Road are a pair of mid-19th century stone houses designed in a Classical style. They are two storeys high, with two windows on No 11 and four windows on No 11A, plus four additional windows on the plain south return. The ground floor openings feature cornices supported by brackets, and No 11A has a pedimented Doric entrance portico. The houses have a crowning cornice and a slated roof with ventilators. This pair, along with Nos 1 to 7 (odd), Carlton Congregational Church at Nos 13 and 15, and Nos 2 to 8 (even), as well as Harrison House Branch Library, contribute to an interesting group of early to mid-19th century architecture.
