The houses feature simple corniced doorways and bracketed eaves beneath a stone roof. They are included for their group value, as they contribute to an interesting collection of early to mid 19th-century buildings that includes Nos 1 to 7 (odd), Nos 11 and 11a Carlton Congregational Church, Nos 13 and 15, and Nos 2 to 8 (even), along with Harrison House Branch Library.
