Description

Nos 1 and 3 Harrison Road are a pair of plain stone houses built in the early to mid 19th century. They stand three storeys tall, with three windows at No 1 and two windows at No 3, plus a return of two windows to No 1. The houses feature simple corniced doorways and bracketed eaves beneath a stone roof. They are included for their group value, as they contribute to an interesting collection of early to mid 19th-century buildings that includes Nos 1 to 7 (odd), Nos 11 and 11a Carlton Congregational Church, Nos 13 and 15, and Nos 2 to 8 (even), along with Harrison House Branch Library.
