Description
60 and 62 Bridges Lane is a pair of cottages dating from the mid-18th century, which have been converted for use as a warehouse. They were raised to three storeys, and the ground floor was altered in the early 19th century. The buildings are constructed from hammer-dressed stone and feature a corrugated asbestos roof.
The cottages have centrally paired doorways with wide windows on either side, all framed with plain stone surrounds. On the first floor, there are sashed windows made up of two wide chamfered mullioned lights. The second floor includes a two-light flat-faced mullioned window, with a taking-in door set between it, featuring tie-stone jambs. The corners of the buildings are accentuated with quoins, and square gutter brackets are grouped in threes.
