Description
74 Bridges Lane is a single-bay cottage dating from the early 19th century. It is constructed of hammer-dressed stone and has a stone slate roof. The building stands two storeys high and features a double-pile design with quoins. To the left of the cottage, there is a doorway next to a 2-light flat-faced mullioned window that has a projecting sill, likely from the mid-19th century. Above this, on the first floor, is an original 5-light thin flat-faced mullioned window with a wider centre light designed for a sash. The left-hand return wall has a gable with a doorway leading to a rear room, along with two 2-light windows and a 4-light window above. The right-hand return wall features a gable stack.
