Description

SOWERBY BRIDGE TOWN GATE SE 0226 & SE 0326 (north side, off), Midgley 4/258 Pinfold - II Pinfold. Probably C18 or early C19. Random rubblestone. Circular enclosure, the walls approx 3 metres high and with triangular-section rubble coping. Wide entrance in south-west side has monolithic piers.
