Description
The building is a cottage and attached barn, located 5 metres east of Wood End, and is likely from the late 17th century or early 18th century. It is constructed of thin coursed rubble with quoins and features a stone slate roof. The structure is L-shaped, with the one and a half storey cottage showcasing a chamfered mullioned window with two lights to the left of the doorway, which has composite jambs and a straight lintel with a chamfered surround. The right-hand return wall has a three-light window with a similar design above it, and the gable apex features kneelers but lacks copings.
At the rear, there is a two-light window leading to the cellar and a three-light window with a similar design located under the eaves of the attic. The barn, which is positioned at right angles to the cottage, includes a cart entry with a monolithic lintel and composite jambs around a mistal doorway to the left. The rear of the barn features a mistal doorway with a quoined lintel at a lower level and a cart entry with a wooden lintel to the left of an inserted garage door.
