The Allescholes Guide Post is a guide post from the early to mid 18th century, made of a single stone that is inscribed on all four faces. The inscriptions indicate the distances to various locations: 9 miles to Burnley on the south face, 10 miles to Halifax on the west face, 5 miles to Rochdale on the north face, and 2 miles to Todmorden on the east face.
