Description

Slater Bank is a house, originally one dwelling, now divided into three separate residences. It was built around 1740, with a later addition to the rear in the mid-19th century. The house is constructed from hammer-dressed stone, with ashlar quoins, and has a stone slate roof. The west front is two storeys high, while the east front rises to three storeys. The west front features a doorway with monolithic jambs and a glazed fanlight, along with two double-chamfered mullioned windows with two wide sash lights on each floor. Coped gables with kneelers are prominent. The left return wall has a blocked taking-in door at first floor level, and a two-light chamfered attic window in the gable. The right return wall contains plain sash windows with projecting sills. The rear of the house has similar windows on three floors. The original section of the house has two stacks.
