Description

The gatehouse to Shaw Park is an embattled structure built in the mid-19th century. It features a segmental pointed arch with false machicolations above, flanked by ground turrets that have lancet windows for the stairs and cruciform loopholes. The entrance is adorned with studded doors that have ornamental hinges.
