Description

House. It is likely to have originated in the 17th century, with alterations in the late 18th century, and the front was rendered in the mid-20th century. The construction is of roughly-dressed rubble, with a stone slate roof. It has two storeys and a gabled front, initially a single cell with a double-depth layout. The front features a doorway with substantial side uprights, alongside a two-light mullioned window with 12-paned sashes. There is a single-light window, which was originally a fire-window, on the first floor, alongside a two-light window. A central ridge stack is present. At the rear, 17th-century windows have been blocked up, mirroring the front.

Inside, the front room contains stop-chamfered spine beams with run-out stops and scarf joints, revealing evidence of an earlier bressumer. This has been replaced by an 18th-century stone fireplace with chamfered uprights. The rear room has chamfered spine beams.
