Description
The building is a workshop or barn located to the rear of Number 10 on Moorside Road in Eccleshill, dating from around 1800 to 1830. It is part of a three-storey row of sandstone "brick" buildings with sill bands on each floor and a stone slate roof featuring paired brackets at the eaves. The chimneys are corniced, and the front of the row includes three-light square mullion windows set in squared surrounds, along with plain squared jamb doorways. The workshop or barn, positioned at right angles to the rear of Number 10, also has three storeys. Its gable front is pedimented and includes a round-headed attic window flanked by pigeon holes. Above the first-floor three-light square mullion window, there is a range of round-headed ventilation slits, and the ground floor has plain openings.
