Description

The Royal Oak Public House is a late 18th century building that is part of a row of cottages, with some early 19th century additions. It is two stories high and constructed from thin sandstone "bricks" with dressed quoins. The roof is made of stone slate and features corniced chimneys. The windows are two-light square mullion types set in squared surrounds, with a three-light window at No 39. The doorways have squared jambs. This building is included in the listing for its historical interest as an early cottage row.
