Description
This small industrial building, dating from the early 19th century, is located to the south of Number 33 on Tithe Barn Street in Horbury. It is constructed of coursed squared stone and features a stone slate roof that is covered in bitumen. The building stands two storeys high and has three bays. The entrance is positioned to the right, and there are large windows with stone surrounds that contain tripartite casements with eight panes. A truncated stack is located to the left side of the building. The rear of the structure is similar to the front, but the window openings lack stone jambs. On the left gable, there are two windows on each floor; the ground floor has fixed lights with sixteen panes, while the first floor has thirty panes.
The interior has not been inspected. Historically, this building served as the Town School and later as the Parish Church Hall. It is included for its group value.
