Description

This is a row of eight cottages, numbered 106 to 118, located on Hollingwood Lane in Paradise Green. Constructed around 1820 to 1830, they are built from sandstone that appears like brickwork. The cottages are arranged in a stepped formation, following the upward slope of the hill. They have stone slate roofs and corniced chimneys. The windows are single- or two-light square mullion windows within squared surrounds, with some alterations evident. Each cottage has a four-panel door set within squared jambs. There are also block brackets under the eaves. The row is set back from the lane and has small walled gardens in front. This is a well-preserved group of cottages.
