Description

Numbers 41 and 43 on Bartle Lane are a pair of small houses built around 1850. They are two-storey structures made of sandstone "brick" and feature a first-floor sill band. The hipped slate roof has block brackets at the eaves and a central chimney stack with a cornice. Each house has two round-headed windows and doorways, all adorned with archivolt arches and keystones, which are connected by an impost string. The ground floor windows still have glazing bar sashes with radial glazing at the tops.
