Description

This is a farmhouse, dated 1735, with alterations from the 19th century. It is constructed of hammer-dressed stone with a stone slate roof. The farmhouse is two storeys high and has quoins. The central doorway has a moulded surround and a deep ornamental lintel. Above the doorway, at first-floor level, is an inscribed plaque reading "D I A 1735", with a raised surround and a round-arched head with key and impost blocks. To the right of the doorway is a six-light double-chamfered window with a king mullion; each window has two mullions removed. To the left of the doorway, on the first floor, is a four-light double-chamfered window and, on the ground floor, a large altered opening. The gables have hollow chamfered copings on cut kneelers. A gable stack is located to the right. The rear elevation, facing the farmyard, retains some double-chamfered windows on the first floor, while the rest have been altered. The interior has not been inspected.
