Description
Laburnum Cottage is a house, possibly originally a pair of houses or formerly one dwelling, dating from the late 18th century. It is constructed of hammer-dressed stone with raised millstone grit quoins and has a stone slate roof. The building has two storeys and features two near-central doorways, with the left doorway set in a 20th-century stone porch. There is one flat-faced mullioned window on the left and right sides of both floors, all with raised surrounds and a stepped centre light. Above the right doorway at first-floor level, there is a round-arched light with a raised surround, key, and impost blocks. A first-floor sill band runs along the building, and the gable copings are supported by cut kneelers. The ashlar gable stacks have a plinth and cornice. There are single-light windows at the rear. The interior has not been inspected.
