Description
West View, located at No 12 on Wells Road in Ilkley, is a building probably dating from around 1800. It is situated at the south end of a terrace and features a symmetrical design. The structure is made of dressed coursed stone and has two storeys topped with a stone slab roof, complete with gable copings and kneelers, and paired gutter-blocks.
On the upper level, there are three sash windows. The central door on the ground floor is adorned with an open pediment supported by half columns, featuring a foliage motif in the frieze area. Above the door, there is a fanlight with glazing bars arranged in the shape of intersecting semi-circles. Additionally, there are later three-light bay windows on each side of the building.
