Description
Nos 49 to 54 on Little Horton Green, built around 1800 to 1830, is a three-storey block of tenements designed as "back to backs." The rear pair appears to have been constructed slightly later than the front. The building is made of sandstone "brick" with ashlar quoins and features stone slate roofs with coped gable ends and shaped kneelers, along with corniced chimneys. All floors have three-light square mullion windows set in squared surrounds. The doorways have plain squared jambs, with paired entrances for Nos 52 and 53, featuring six-panel doors and rectangular fanlights. Some of the "back to backs" have been combined into a single property.
