Description
Nos 40, 42, and 44 Pullan Street is a late 18th-century row of cottages, which may have been adapted from an earlier farmhouse. The cottages are built from irregularly coursed gritstone. Nos 42 and 44 are taller and feature a steeply pitched stone slate roof, saddlestones, and prominent kneelers. No 40 has two-light square mullion windows in squared surrounds on both floors, along with a single-storey wing that has one window. Nos 42 and 44 have three-light square mullion windows and a small single light window above the doorways. The doors have plain squared jambs with a common lintel.
