Description
36-39 Little Horton Green is an irregular L-plan block of cottages with a barn at the rear, sharing a roof with No 33. The building dates from the late 17th century or early 18th century and was altered or subdivided around 1800. Nos 38-39 were refaced around 1850. The structure features some 4-light and 2-light chamfered mullion windows, along with circa 1800 windows in squared surrounds, including 2, 3, and 5-light windows with square mullions. The doorways have squared jambs. The exterior is made of irregularly coursed sandstone "bricks" and gritstone, topped with stone slate roofs. The eaves are block bracketed and were repainted around 1850. The barn at the rear has a portal with long and short quoins.
