Description
This listing describes a row of eight cottages located on Keighley Road, likely built in the mid-18th century, with some alterations from the 19th century. The cottages are constructed from hammer-dressed stone and feature a stone slate roof. They rise three stories and consist of six bays. The first bay is slightly angled to align with the street and has a segmental-arched entry with voussoirs, skewbacks, and tie-stone jambs, which has been altered to create a window. Above this entry is a three-light window, with a two-light window on the second floor. The remaining bays feature a three-light flat-faced mullioned stepped window on the ground and first floors, with a wider central sashed light and inner chamfered mullions. On the second floor, bays two and three have two-light windows, while bays four and six have three-light windows. The fifth bay includes a 19th-century canted wooden oriel. There are doorways with tie-stone jambs between each bay, except for bays two and three. The row has seven ridge stacks.
