Description
The twin fountains in the park of Cliffe Castle, located approximately 50 metres to the north-east and south-east of the house, were created in the 1870s by George Smith of Bradford. They are made of ashlar and are symmetrically positioned in front of the house. Each fountain features a circular basin with a rock base at the centre, which supports a fluted bowl. On top of this bowl is a smaller upper bowl adorned with entwined dolphins on the stem, and a boy and swan figure sits atop the entire structure.
